Pakistan Condemns India’s Ban on Kashmiri Organizations

Jarida Report

Pakistan’s Foreign Office (FO) has condemned India’s recent designation of two Kashmiri organizations—the Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) and the Jammu and Kashmir Ittihadul Muslimeen (JKIM)—as “unlawful associations” for five years. The FO criticized this move as an attempt to suppress political activities and stifle dissent in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJK), highlighting India’s disregard for democratic norms and international human rights laws. Pakistan urged India to lift these bans, release political prisoners, and implement UN Security Council resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir.
