In these posts, Gascón referred to Islam as “an infection” and made derogatory comments about George Floyd, among others. She expressed deep regret, stating, “I am deeply sorry to those I have caused pain.” Gascón emphasized her lifelong commitment to fighting for a better world and acknowledged the suffering caused by her words. Following the backlash, she deactivated her Twitter account.
