Noreen Niazi, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, was transferred back to Kot Lakhpat Jail on Friday after undergoing medical examinations at the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC).
Noreen had been taken to the hospital after complaining of chest pain and experiencing elevated blood pressure, prompting doctors to conduct tests to assess her cardiac health.
According to hospital sources, her condition remained stable throughout the examination, and medical investigations found no evidence of a heart-related problem.
Doctors conducted an electrocardiogram (ECG) and troponin tests, which are commonly used to detect possible heart muscle damage. Both tests returned normal results, hospital sources confirmed.
Earlier on Thursday, hospital officials had indicated that Noreen was expected to be discharged within six hours, provided her condition remained stable.
She was prescribed medication to manage her blood pressure before being returned to Kot Lakhpat Jail.
Hospital sources maintained that her overall medical condition was satisfactory and that the tests had revealed no immediate cardiac concerns.
