At least nine people lost their lives and five others sustained serious burn injuries after an oxygen cylinder exploded inside an ambulance at a hospital in Sindh’s Tharparkar district late Wednesday night, police said.
The explosion occurred as hospital staff were preparing to transfer patients and connecting an oxygen cylinder inside the ambulance.
The cylinder suddenly exploded, engulfing the vehicle in flames and causing multiple casualties.
Police confirmed that those killed included patients and hospital employees, while five other people suffered severe burns.
