ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Commander National Strategic Command (CNSC) General Syed Aamer Raza have stressed the importance of close institutional coordination on national security, the Foreign Office said Wednesday.
General Aamer Raza met Dar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where Dar congratulated him on his promotion and appointment as CNSC.
According to the Foreign Office, the two discussed national security matters and exchanged views on regional and international developments.
They agreed that close institutional coordination was important for advancing Pakistan’s national interests and contributing to regional peace and security.
General Aamer Raza assumed charge as the country’s first CNSC on July 31 following his promotion to four-star general.
