Iran Accuses US, Israel of ‘State Violence’ as IRGC Commander Claims US Defeat

Jarida Report

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi has accused the United States and Israel of committing what he described as “state violence” against Iran, saying international silence over such actions amounted to complicity.

Speaking on the World Day for the Prevention of Violence, Gharibabadi said the occasion provided an opportunity to reflect on what he called the “bitter reality” of US and Israeli military actions against Iran.

“When the United States and the Israeli regime target the security and lives of nations through military aggression, the slaughter of civilians, and the destruction of infrastructure, we confront the most blatant form of state violence,” he said.

Gharibabadi also criticised countries that he said had remained silent in response, arguing that “silence” in the face of such actions amounted to “complicity in violence.”

Separately, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force commander Brig Gen Esmail Qaani claimed that the United States had suffered a “humiliating defeat” in its confrontation with Iran.

According to Iran’s Press TV, Qaani said that despite Washington’s extensive military resources and equipment, the US had been “expelled from Iraq” and defeated in its confrontation with Iran.

Qaani made the remarks on Thursday night during the “Nasr Qarib” ceremony in Tehran, held to commemorate the second anniversary of the deaths of leaders of the Lebanese resistance.

His characterisation of US involvement in Iraq and its confrontation with Iran reflects the Iranian government and IRGC’s position.
