Two Young Children Found Tied and Abandoned at Garbage Dump in Jamshoro

Jarida Report

Police have launched an investigation after two young children were found with their hands and feet tied at a garbage dump in Jamshoro district, where they were allegedly abandoned by an unidentified man.

The children — a seven-month-old girl and a one-and-a-half-year-old boy — were spotted by local residents, who alerted police.

According to initial police information, a man travelling in a rickshaw allegedly brought the children to the site, left them at the garbage dump and fled.

Police reached the scene and took both children into protective custody before bringing them to Kotri Police Station.

Authorities said the children had apparently been abandoned without anyone to care for them. The circumstances surrounding the incident, including the children’s identities and their relationship to the person who allegedly left them there, have yet to be established.

A female police constable subsequently took responsibility for caring for the infant girl, while local resident Shehzad Memon stepped forward to look after the young boy.

Police said efforts were under way to trace the person responsible for abandoning the children and determine the circumstances that led to the incident.

The investigation is continuing, with authorities yet to establish a motive or identify those responsible.
