US Military Casualties in Iran War Reach 774, Pentagon Data Shows

Jarida Report

US military casualties in the war with Iran have risen to 774, including 18 deaths and 756 wounded personnel, according to the latest figures from the Pentagon’s Defense Casualty Analysis System (DCAS).

The Pentagon data divides casualties into two periods, reflecting changes in the military and diplomatic course of the conflict.

The first phase, recorded under Operation Epic Fury, accounts for 14 deaths and 417 wounded service members. Seven of those fatalities were classified as hostile deaths, including personnel killed in action or who later died from their wounds.

The remaining seven deaths during this period were attributed to accidents or undetermined causes, with most involving personnel from the US Air Force and Navy.

A second reporting category, listed as Overseas Operations, covers casualties since July 7, after a memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran had effectively broken down and shortly before President Donald Trump declared the ceasefire “over.”

During this period, the Pentagon recorded four hostile deaths and 341 wounded personnel. All four fatalities were members of the US Army.

The US Army has suffered the highest number of casualties across the two phases, recording 11 deaths and 589 wounded personnel since the conflict began on February 28.
