A high-level Sindh Police team investigating the Mir Raza Ali case has approached Apple for assistance in accessing data from his mobile phone, as authorities continue to examine forensic, medical and digital evidence.
According to police sources, investigators are reviewing information gathered from Raza’s family, friends and other relevant individuals, alongside technical evidence collected during the probe.
The investigation team has so far received two post-mortem reports, one final report and three chemical analysis reports. The most recent chemical analysis report was received on August 17 and is currently under detailed examination.
Sindh Police said investigators were conducting a comparative and critical assessment of the various reports, with several findings requiring further clarification and independent verification.
Authorities have also approached the Punjab Forensic Science Agency to analyse data from Raza’s mobile phone and smartwatch.
Separately, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has been contacted in connection with the examination of digital currency-related aspects of the case.
Police said Apple officials had been approached for assistance in unlocking Raza’s mobile phone, which investigators hope could provide additional evidence relevant to the circumstances surrounding his death.
Investigators are also seeking clarification from relevant institutions over unresolved points in the latest chemical analysis report, which police believe could help produce significant progress in the case.
According to Sindh Police, the investigation is proceeding on a daily basis and remains focused on technical, digital and forensic evidence.
A police spokesperson said updates would continue to be released to the public where appropriate, taking into account both the progress of the investigation and public interest.
