Security forces killed 15 terrorists during a series of intelligence-based operations across several districts of Balochistan under Operation Rad-ul-Fitna-3, security sources said on Sunday.
The operations were carried out in Mastung, Bolan, Washuk, Awaran, Sibi, Khuzdar, Harnai and Noshki as part of an intensified intelligence-led counterterrorism campaign.
According to security sources, a large cache of weapons and ammunition was also recovered during the operations.
The sources said the coordinated actions had disrupted militant networks and restricted their ability to operate and move across parts of the province.
Operation Rad-ul-Fitna-3 is described by the military as targeting militant groups it alleges are backed by India. The federal government last year designated terrorist organisations operating in Balochistan under the term “Fitna al-Hindustan,” accusing New Delhi of supporting proxy groups in the province.
Security forces said intelligence-based operations would continue as part of the campaign against militant networks operating in Balochistan.
