A 10-year-old girl was found dead inside the washroom of a private tuition centre in Lahore’s Ichhra area on Wednesday, prompting police to launch a murder investigation.
The victim, identified as Naima, had left home to attend her regular tuition classes but failed to return. Her body was later discovered inside the centre’s washroom with visible marks around her neck, raising suspicions of foul play.
Police shifted the body to the morgue for a postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Senior police officials, including SP Model Town Asad Ali and ASP Gulberg, visited the scene and reviewed the initial findings.
Authorities said an investigation is underway and legal proceedings have been initiated to establish the circumstances surrounding the girl’s death and identify those responsible. The incident has left residents of the area in shock and mourning.
