The 2026 NATO summit opens in Ankara on Tuesday, bringing together leaders from the alliance’s 32 member states and partner countries for two days of high-level talks.
Key issues on the agenda include increased defence spending, continued support for Ukraine and strengthening NATO’s defence industrial capacity.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has said the summit will also highlight Europe’s commitment to raising defence expenditure, with several major arms deals expected to be announced.
