YouTube has introduced new features for its Shorts platform, allowing creators to share image-based content alongside short videos.
Under the update, creators can now publish image carousels containing up to 10 photos that viewers can browse by swiping through the post.
The new feature also enables users to add text to individual images and include up to 15 seconds of background music. Creators can choose audio from YouTube’s licensed music library, its own audio collection, or use the “Dream Track” AI tool where available.
According to YouTube, the update is designed to give creators more options for visual storytelling and strengthen the Shorts platform as competition in the short-form content market continues to grow.
