At least five people were killed and several others injured in a shooting at a youth welfare facility in the northern German city of Stade on Monday, police said.
In a statement issued via its WhatsApp channel, Stade police confirmed the fatalities and said two suspects, including the alleged shooter, had been arrested.
Authorities said investigations are underway to determine the motive behind the attack and establish the exact sequence of events.
Police have not released further details about the victims or the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
