British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is expected to announce his resignation on Monday and set out a timetable for his departure, according to a report by The Observer.
The newspaper said Starmer had concluded that his position was no longer sustainable after consulting cabinet ministers, advisers, donors and trade union leaders.
According to the report, Starmer was discussing the decision with his wife at Chequers before making a final announcement. Senior Labour Party figures are reportedly expecting a clear statement on his future as early as Monday.
