The adoption of artificial intelligence in the United Kingdom has reached a “tipping point,” with organisations moving beyond experimentation and beginning to deploy AI at scale, according to Maureen Costello.
Speaking to Reuters, Costello, vice president for the UK, Ireland and Sub-Saharan Africa at [Google Cloud](https://cloud.google.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com), said businesses and public-sector organisations that were testing AI tools a year ago are now using them to manage more complex operations and improve productivity.
“Industry is on the cusp of a tipping point where AI adoption is accelerating quickly,” Costello said.
“A year ago the focus was on experimentation, but now we’re seeing organisations put AI into production and begin to realise real returns.”
The comments highlight the growing integration of AI technologies into everyday business and government operations as organisations seek greater efficiency and measurable results from their investments.
