A total of 177 Pakistani nationals, who had reached Libya illegally, have been deported.
Sources divulged that these individuals had travelled to Libya via dinghies with the intention of reaching Europe. All of them were returned to Pakistan on a special aircraft. In Islamabad, officials stated that the agents involved in sending them abroad have been placed on the Red Book.
The deported individuals include 59 from Lahore, 58 from Gujrat, 26 from Rawalpindi, and 23 from Gujranwala.
Ten persons are reported from Sialkot, while one belongs to Islamabad. Sources said that the group had reached Libya via routes through Iran and Saudi Arabia.
