National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Lt Gen (retd) Nazir Ahmed said on Wednesday that Interpol had issued Red Notices for Bahria Town founder Malik Riaz and his son Ali Riaz.
The NAB chief announced while speaking to reporters at the bureau’s headquarters. At the end of the briefing, he said, “Today I am giving you breaking news that Interpol has issued a red notice against Malik Riaz and Ali Riaz.”
A Red Notice is a request circulated by Interpol to law enforcement agencies worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest a person pending extradition, surrender, or similar legal proceedings.
According to the details cited in the report, the development could not be independently verified through Interpol.
