Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said in a post on X that there are no radicals and moderates in Iran, describing the country as unified. He stated that all citizens are “Iranian” and “revolutionary”, adding that unity between the nation and the government rests on obedience to the supreme leader of the revolution.
Pezeshkian vowed that Iran would make any aggressor “regret” its actions. Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and judiciary chief Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei have also pushed back against claims by Trump that divisions exist within Iran’s leadership. Trump alleged infighting between “hardliners” and “moderates” across Iran’s political and military establishment.
In posts on social media platform X, Ghalibaf insisted that “in Iran there is no such thing as moderates and hardliners”. “We are all ‘Iranian’ and ‘revolutionary’, and with the iron uni ty of the nation and the government, and with full obedience to the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, we will make the transgressing aggressor regret its actions,” he said.
