Key Meeting On US-Iran Talks Chaired By PM Shehbaz, Reiterates Pakistan’s Mediation Role

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif presided over a high-level consultative meeting to review preparations for the second round of discussions between Iran and the United States.

According to sources, the meeting was attended by Ishaq Dar and Mohsin Naqvi, along with other senior officials. During the session, the interior minister briefed the prime minister on his recent engagements with the US and Iranian ambassadors.

Officials indicated that Pakistan reiterated its commitment to playing a facilitative role in bringing both sides together and ensuring the smooth conduct of the talks. Iran has also signalled its willingness to continue diplomatic engagement in support of the negotiation process.
