Efforts For Second Round Of US-Iran Talks Intensify As Mediators Step In

Jarida Report

Efforts are gaining momentum to arrange a second round of talks between United States and Iran amid ongoing tensions, with mediators actively engaging both sides to bring them back to the negotiating table. According to sources, backchannel contacts have been accelerated, raising the possibility that the next round of negotiations could take place in Islamabad within the coming days.

A report by The New York Times suggests that discussions still indicate potential progress toward a peace agreement. There is also a likelihood of direct, face-to-face talks between senior officials from both countries in the upcoming phase.

Diplomatic sources revealed that a mediator country has claimed both Tehran and Washington have, in principle, shown willingness to proceed, although it remains unclear whether delegations at the same level will participate. The venue and timing of the talks are still under consideration.
