US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Thursday said that the United States appreciates Pakistan’s support and participation in the Gaza Board of Peace.
According to the spokesperson for the US Department of State, Secretary Rubio met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Washington. During the meeting, Secretary Rubio thanked Pakistan for supporting President Donald Trump’s Gaza peace plan and for participating, as a founding member, in the inaugural session of the Board of Peace. The spokesperson said that Marco Rubio expressed condolences over the horrific attacks on January 31 in Balochistan and the devastating bomb blast in Islamabad on February 6, and reaffirmed the importance of continued partnership between the two countries in the fight against terrorism.
