Malala Yousafzai Urges Countries Worldwide To Sever Ties With Taliban

Jarida Report

Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai has called on countries worldwide to pressure the Taliban and refrain from maintaining normal diplomatic relations with them. In an exclusive interview with a private TV channel, Malala described the current situation in Afghanistan as extremely dangerous, particularly regarding girls’ education. She said the Taliban are systematically depriving girls and women of their basic rights.

“Taliban are denying girls their fundamental right to education. Schools are closed for girls, but Afghan girls have not given up. They continue to pursue education through secret schools and online learning,” she said. She added that Taliban restrictions prevent women from leaving their homes or working, casting a dark shadow over the future of Afghan children.
