Pakistan And Uzbekistan Reach Agreement To Accelerate Investment, Trade And Connectivity

Pakistan and Uzbekistan have agreed to accelerate cooperation in trade, investment, and regional connectivity, reaffirming their commitment to translating bilateral economic ties into tangible outcomes.

The understanding was reached during a meeting between Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan and Uzbekistan’s Minister Laziz Kudratov. Both sides emphasized strengthening practical economic cooperation and expanding mutually beneficial partnerships. Officials revealed that bilateral trade between Pakistan and Uzbekistan increased by 10 percent last year. Uzbekistan’s imports from Pakistan rose by 12 percent, while its exports grew by 8 percent. Both countries have set an ambitious target of boosting bilateral trade to $2 billion.
