On Monday, a car bomb detonated outside the headquarters of the Frontier Constabulary in
Quetta, killing at least eight people and injuring several other people. The blast that shook the city with vibrations left cars mangled and neighboring stores in a deplorable state. The security officials isolated the area as rescue workers hurriedly took the injured to hospitals.
There is no group that has owned the attack, but the authorities believe that it could have been the Baloch Liberation Army that has already launched similar attacks in the area. The event highlights the deteriorating security conditions in Balochistan, where militants have attacked the law enforcement on numerous occasions. Law enforcement officials have declared an initial probe, promising to go on a hunt to capture the culprits behind the bombing.
