Pakistan Criticizes UN Security Council for Stalling Gaza Ceasefire Bid

Jarida Report

Pakistan showed severe dismay that the UN Security Council failed to adopt a resolution requesting a ceasefire in Gaza. Spokesperson of the Foreign Office Mumtaz Zahra Baloch claimed that the situation in the Council was a failure of collective conscience at a time when people, women, and children, were still the casualties of Israeli attacks.

She reiterated the support given by Pakistan to Palestine and called upon the international community to take urgent measures to end the violence. Pakistan has on numerous occasions demanded an urgent ceasefire, access by humanitarian aid, and a fair solution under the two-state formula.
