Chenab overflows and takes 43 lives in Punjab

As reported on Wednesday, it has been estimated that the increasingly dangerous floods had killed at least 43 people in the last 10 days and forced over 1.3 million to evacuate in the breadbasket province of Punjab, as overflowing rivers carried some of the most outrageously voluminous levels in years and officials warned the threat of further inundations remained.
