Pakistan Defends Iranian Envoy After FBI Adds Him to Most Wanted List

Jarida Report

Pakistan’s Foreign Office has expressed support for Iran’s ambassador to Islamabad, Reza Amiri Moghadam, after the FBI placed him on its Most Wanted list. The FBI accuses Moghadam of involvement in the 2007 abduction and presumed death of retired FBI agent Robert Levinson in Iran. Pakistan described the envoy as “widely respected” and affirmed his full diplomatic immunity. The case adds strain to already tense US-Iran relations, but Islamabad maintains the ambassador’s status remains unchanged.
