Altaf Hussain, the founder of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), has been hospitalised in London after falling seriously ill. According to party sources, his condition suddenly worsened on Thursday, prompting an emergency admission to a hospital in North London.
Doctors have carried out several tests, including ECGs, scans, and blood work, and he has received a blood transfusion. Party officials say his illness is likely linked to heart-related stress, worsened by years of legal and financial pressure.
Though stable for now, Altaf’s team says he remains under close medical watch. The 71-year-old leader, living in self-exile since the early ’90s, has faced ongoing legal troubles in the UK. MQM supporters have been urged to pray for his recovery.
