Government Deploys FC Troops at Fazlur Rehman’s D.I. Khan Residence

Jarida Report

The federal government has directed the deployment of a platoon from the Frontier Constabulary (FC) to safeguard the home of JUI-F leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This move, ordered on June 29 by the interior ministry and following PM Shehbaz Sharif’s instructions, responds to recent security threats—including an armed interception and attempted kidnapping targeting Fazl’s son, Asjad Mahmood. The deployment aims to prevent further attacks amid rising concerns over violence targeting JUI-F figures.
