Since June 25, 2025, at least 22 people have died and 11 others were injured across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) as a result of heavy rain, flash floods, strong winds, and landslides, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA). The severe weather has damaged or swept away multiple homes and resulted in the tragic loss of life, including in Swat where 18 people were swept off by swiftly rising river waters. The PDMA has urged authorities to remain vigilant as rainfall is expected to continue through July 1, and rescue and relief operations—including searches in Swat—are actively underway
