Former Minister Amjad Afridi Placed in Judicial Custody Over Ex-Nazim’s Murder

Pakistan Peoples Party leader and former provincial minister Malik Amjad Afridi, prime suspect in the murder of former Kohat district nazim Malik Asad, has been sent on judicial remand after completing five days of police custody. Afridi was arrested last week in Islamabad. One of his alleged accomplices, identified as Amir, was apprehended at Islamabad airport while attempting to flee to Dubai. Amir confessed to the crime and named Afridi along with other co-conspirators  .

Authorities have placed eight suspects, including Afridi and Amir, on the Exit Control List and are pursuing the remaining seven declared as proclaimed offenders, with counter-terrorism teams conducting raids to secure their arrests
