On June 7, 2025, the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv endured its most severe attack since the onset of the full-scale war, as described by Mayor Ihor Terekhov. The overnight assault involved drones, missiles, and guided bombs, resulting in at least three fatalities and 22 injuries, including a one-and-a-half-month-old infant. Residential buildings, educational institutions, and infrastructure were among the targets. A civilian industrial facility was struck by 40 drones, one missile, and four bombs, causing a fire and potentially trapping individuals under the rubble. The Ukrainian military reported that Russia launched a total of 206 drones, two ballistic missiles, and seven other missiles across the country during the night. Air defense units successfully intercepted 87 drones, while another 80 were neutralized through electronic warfare or identified as unarmed simulators. Â
