Youtuber Adil Raja Publicly Apologises for Defaming Pakistan Army Officer

Jarida Report

YouTuber and commentator Major (r) Adil Raja has publicly apologised after admitting he defamed Brigadier (r) Rashid Naseer, a former senior Pakistan Army officer, following a landmark ruling by the London High Court. Acting on the court’s order, Raja confirmed that he had made several unfounded and defamatory allegations and had no defence to the claims brought against him.

Raja released a written apology across all his social media platforms, acknowledging that the allegations he published between 14 and 29 June 2022 were baseless. The court had instructed him to issue the apology by 22 December and to keep it prominently displayed for 28 days. He stated that the High Court had ordered him to pay £50,000 in damages to Naseer, alongside high legal costs.
