US Failed To Build Trust Says Iranian Speaker Mohammad Ghalibaf, Commends Pakistan’s Role In Peace Talks

Jarida Report

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has said that the United States failed to gain Iran’s trust during recent negotiations, while expressing gratitude to Pakistan for facilitating the dialogue process.

In a statement shared on X, Ghalibaf said the opposing side was unable to win the confidence of the Iranian delegation despite constructive engagement. He noted that Iran had entered the talks with goodwill and a clear intent, but past experiences, including recent conflicts, have made trust difficult.

He added that members of the Iranian delegation presented forward-looking proposals during the negotiations, emphasizing that it is now up to the United States to decide whether it can build trust with Iran based on its actions. “America has understood our logic and principles, and now it’s time for it to decide whether it can earn our trust or not?,” Bagher wrote.
