A US delegation led by Vice President JD Vance arrived in Pakistan on Saturday for talks with Iranian officials aimed at shoring up a shaky ceasefire and paving the way for a permanent end to the fighting.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, COAS & CDF Field Marshal Asim Munir and other officials received the US delegations at the airport. The US delegation includes Special Representative Steve Witkoff, and President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.
Speaking prior to his departure, Vance stated that he is participating in the talks in line with the guidelines of President Donald Trump, expressing confidence that the negotiations with Iran will yield positive outcomes.
