US Court Allows Trump to Retain Control Over California’s National Guard

Jarida Report

A U.S. federal appeals court ruled in favor of former President Donald Trump, allowing him to maintain authority over California’s National Guard during his presidency, despite objections from the state. The case stemmed from Trump’s decision to deploy the Guard for immigration enforcement at the southern border. California had challenged the move, arguing it infringed on state rights. However, the court concluded that the president holds ultimate control over the National Guard when it’s activated for federal purposes, reinforcing broad executive powers in matters of national security.
