On May 3, 2025, a single-engine Van’s RV-10 aircraft crashed into two homes in Simi Valley, California, killing the pilot, a passenger, and a dog onboard. The plane was en route from William J. Fox Airfield to Camarillo Airport when it went down around 2 p.m. Both homes were occupied, but residents evacuated safely with no reported injuries. The crash caused structural damage and fires, which were quickly extinguished by approximately 40 firefighters. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the incident.
