Trump Softens Stance on Ukraine, But Starmer Leaves Without Security Pledges

Jarida Report

In a recent meeting at the White House, U.S. President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer discussed the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. While President Trump expressed optimism about peace negotiations with Russia, he did not provide firm commitments regarding U.S. security guarantees for Ukraine, a key concern for European allies. Prime Minister Starmer emphasized the importance of a peace agreement that does not reward aggression and indicated the UK’s readiness to support such a deal with military resources. Despite these discussions, no definitive security assurances were secured during the meeting.
