Toddler Allegedly Tortured to Death by Father in Rawalpindi

An 18-month-old girl, Anaya Fatima, was allegedly tortured to death by her father, Hassan Iqbal, in Rawalpindi’s Chaklala area, as reported by Dawn News. The incident came to light when Anaya’s mother, Asia Kausar, returned home from work to find her daughter dead at Benazir Bhutto Hospital. Kausar observed visible signs of abuse on Anaya’s body, including bruises on her chin, blackened ears, and multiple marks on her abdomen. Her six-year-old daughter, Abira, informed her that their father had kicked, punched, and thrashed Anaya. Kausar also mentioned that Iqbal had a history of torturing their children.
