Three siblings—Maryam (8), Hareem (6), and Muhammad Yaman (4)—died in Nowshera after consuming sweets believed to be contaminated. Their mother remains in critical condition at Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical Complex. The family had eaten mithai with tea, after which their health deteriorated. Police have launched an investigation based on a complaint by the children’s father, Bakht Sher. This incident follows similar cases in Pakistan, including a 2016 tragedy in Layyah where 33 people died from poisoned sweets.
