A 16-year-old driver involved in a tragic car crash that killed six family members in Lahore has been sent to judicial custody. The court rejected the police’s request for physical remand, instead ordering that the underage suspect be kept in jail until July 22.
The accident, which occurred on July 6 on Lahore’s Ferozepur Road, sparked public outrage after CCTV footage showed the teenager speeding and crashing into a family’s car. The court also noted that the vehicle was registered to the suspect’s father, who may also face legal action.
