Taiwan Vows to Double Tech Exports to India Amid U.S. Demand

Jarida Report

The trade officials of Taiwan announced on Friday that they are to increase chip and electronics exports to India by five to seven years, with global demand rising, particularly in the U.S. Taiwan’s External Trade Development Council chairman James C.F. Huang stressed the dramatic growth: Taiwanese investments in Indian manufacturing are already about 5 billion dollars.

Significant transactions are an 11-billion-dollar AI chip fab with Tata Electronics and an expansion of 1.5 billion dollars by Foxconn in India. Authorities are optimistic that Taiwan-India trade momentum will not be derailed by increasing U.S. tariffs.
