Despite the opposition members boycotting the election process with leader Dr Ibadullah Khan on the grounds of no wanting to partake in any “unlawful” process, the election process continued. this case is surrounded with controversy, especially around the outgoing chief minister of KPK, Ali Amin Gandapur who resigned based on the instructions of the imprisoned PTI founder Imran khan, PTI’s Sohail Afridi was elected CM of KPK with 90 votes.
The future remains unclear after the Governor of KPK, Faisal Karim Kundi rejected Ali Amin Gandapur’s resignation, objecting to the authenticity of the signature.
