A six-year-old seminary student succumbed to his head injuries 40 days after being admitted to the hospital. The boy, Hassan, was allegedly beaten by his teacher in Pir Aziz Brohi Goth. On December 1, a madrasa teacher in the Manghopir Aziz Brohi Goth area of Karachi subjected him to torture and hit his head with a stick which proved fatal.
Hospital sources said that the child’s heart, brain, and lungs had stopped working. The child’s father alleged that his son died due to a blow to his head. Police had registered a case and arrested the teacher, but later he was granted bail. On the other hand, police officials said that the real cause of death will be revealed after the postmortem.
