Six Dead as Tourist Submarine Sinks Off Egypt’s Hurghada Resort

On March 27, 2025, a tourist submarine named “Sindbad” sank off the coast of Hurghada, Egypt, resulting in the deaths of six foreign tourists and injuries to 19 others. The vessel, operated by Sindbad Submarines, was carrying approximately 40 passengers on a coral reef exploration trip. Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the accident.
