Sindh’s Ruling and Opposition Parties Unite Against Indian Hostility

Jarida Report

On May 7, 2025, various political parties in Sindh, including both ruling and opposition factions, united in a rare display of solidarity against Indian aggression. The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) organized a large rally in front of the Karachi Press Club, drawing participation from parties such as the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), Jamaat-i-Islami (JI), Awami National Party (ANP), and Pakistan Muslim League (PML) factions. Attendees, including women and elderly citizens, carried national and party flags, chanting slogans against India.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah condemned India’s swift blame on Pakistan for the Pahalgam incident, labeling Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the “Butcher of Gujarat.” He criticized India’s rejection of Pakistan’s offers for international investigations and peace gestures, highlighting that India instead launched attacks on six locations, resulting in civilian casualties. Shah praised the Pakistan Air Force for downing five Indian aircraft, asserting that Pakistan’s response compelled India to seek a ceasefire within hours.

The rally also featured international Pakistani boxers Shaheer Afridi and Muhammad Usman, who had recently defeated Indian opponents, symbolizing national pride and resilience. Political leaders emphasized that, despite internal differences, they stand united in defending Pakistan against external threats.
