Seven Soldiers Martyred in IED Attack by ‘Indian Proxy’ Terrorists in Balochistan’s Mach

Jarida Report

On May 6, 2025, a roadside bomb struck a security vehicle in the Kachhi district of Balochistan, Pakistan, resulting in the martyrdom of seven soldiers. The military’s media wing, ISPR, attributed the attack to the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), labeling it an “Indian proxy” without providing evidence. The BLA has yet to comment on the incident. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the attack and praised the fallen soldiers’ sacrifice. This incident follows a similar deadly BLA assault less than two months earlier on a passenger train in Balochistan that killed 31 people, mostly military personnel. Balochistan remains a hotspot of insurgency led by separatist groups seeking independence from Pakistan, with additional threats from the Pakistani Taliban and Islamic State elements. The military announced an ongoing clearance operation to apprehend those responsible for the attack.
