Senior PPP Leader Senator Taj Haider Passes Away After Battling Cancer

Taj Haider, a senior leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), passed away in Karachi at the age of 84 after battling cancer. He served as a senator from 2012 to 2018 and was re-elected for the term 2021-2027, chairing the Senate Standing Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges. Haider was also the PPP’s central secretary general. His contributions to democracy and public service were widely acknowledged, with leaders like President Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari expressing deep grief over his passing.
