Security Meeting Held Amid Opposition Boycott Over Imran Khan’s Absence

Jarida Report

A high-level in-camera meeting on national security convened at Parliament House to address the recent surge in terrorist attacks, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The opposition alliance, Tehreek Tahaffuz-i-Ayeen Pakistan (TTAP), boycotted the meeting, citing the absence of incarcerated former Prime Minister Imran Khan. TTAP leaders, including chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai, emphasized that any discussion on national security should involve all political figures, notably Imran Khan. The meeting proceeded with the participation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, and other key civilian and military leaders.
